How BrandMittra Started: The Full Story of Our AI Digital Marketing Agency

Most agencies start their story with awards, big clients and numbers they cannot show. We would rather tell you the truth. This blog is the full story of BrandMittra — where it came from, who built it, what we did before starting it, and why the name sounds the way it does. If you are an Indian business owner trying to decide whether to trust an agency with your money, this blog is written for you.
The short answer: what is BrandMittra?
BrandMittra is a full-service digital marketing agency. We build websites that convert, we create content and UGC ads that people actually watch, and we run SEO, Meta Ads and Google Ads as one connected growth system instead of separate pieces. We call ourselves AI-powered because AI is part of how we research, create and optimise work every single day — not because we have put an AI sticker on the website.
But a definition does not explain the journey. The real story starts in a small village near Sonipat, Haryana, where I grew up. My name is Mohit Rajput, and this part of BrandMittra is mine to tell.
Who is Mohit Rajput — the personal story behind BrandMittra
I belong to Sonipat district in Haryana, from a small village called Dahesra. If you look at a map, Dahesra sits right on the Haryana–Delhi border, so the pin code falls under Haryana — 131028 — but Delhi is only a short ride away. That location shaped a lot of my life. A village on one side, a metro city on the other.
Where I really come from — a middle-class farming family
Before I talk about marketing, I have to talk about my roots, because they shaped everything. I come from a simple middle-class family. My father is a farmer, and for most of my early life, our whole household depended on one thing — the crop. Whatever the field gave us that season, that was our income. There was no fixed salary, no backup, no cushion. Some months were good. Many were not.
One thing hurt us the most: floods. Every time a बाढ़ (flood) came, it could destroy the entire crop in a few days. And here is the harder part — we did not own enough farmland of our own to simply grow again. So to plant the next crop, my father often had to borrow money from the local baniya (moneylender). We would grow the crop, sell it, and then return that borrowed money first. Whatever was left was ours. I grew up watching this cycle very closely.
I saw a lot of difficulties in my family. But somewhere, those same difficulties lit a fire in me. My dreams were always bigger than my situation, and I had this restless passion to do something big in life — to change the story for my family.
My father gave me the advice I still live by. He always says: keep working hard, never step back from hard work, and success will come one day for sure — just never give up. He also taught me to keep doing my karm (my duty and effort) while keeping God's name in my heart. There is a shloka in the Bhagavad Gita that says the same thing: keep doing your work, do not worry about the result. That is exactly what I try to do every single day. I have never stepped back from hard work, and I never will.

I completed my 10th board from a private school in Haryana under the CBSE board. Then for 11th and 12th, I studied at a Delhi government school — and it was right next to my home, which made those two years simple and focused. I finished my 12th, and then I had to take the decision most students in my position face: follow the usual degree route, or learn a skill and start earning early. Coming from a family where money was never guaranteed, I chose the second path — learn a real skill, and start building something as soon as possible.
After 12th, I joined a digital marketing course at Digiperform in Pitampura, Delhi. That decision changed the direction of my life. I walked in knowing almost nothing about marketing, and walked out knowing that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my career.

The internship that became my first real experience
My first real exposure to the industry was a six-month internship at a company in West Enclave, Pitampura, Delhi. On paper it was an internship. In reality it was a crash course in responsibility. I was working on SEO, and not just one part of it — I handled on-page, off-page and technical SEO together. I also worked across around 14+ projects during that time, which taught me something no course can teach: every website, every client and every niche has its own behaviour.
When my internship ended, I continued at the same company for one full year. That became my first solid year of professional experience. After that, I worked for two more years at another place in Delhi, again on real projects. So the 3+ years of experience that BrandMittra carries today is not a marketing line. It is three years of working on deadlines, ranking pages, fixing technical issues, running ads and learning from mistakes that cost real money.
What I was learning at home, while working in the day
One thing about me — I do not like sitting still. While I was doing SEO at work, I was learning paid advertising at home: Meta Ads, Google Ads, campaign structures, audiences, budgets and tracking. I also taught myself video editing because I could see where content was heading. Then AI arrived, and I learned how to make AI reels and UGC-style ad videos. I did not just watch tutorials. I made reels, edited them, ran them, and implemented the learnings on live projects.
That combination is unusual: SEO from the technical side, ads from the performance side, and content production from the creative side. Most people pick one lane. I wanted to understand how the whole system connects.

How I met Krishna Aggarwal — the friend who became my co-founder
Somewhere along this journey, I met Krishna Aggarwal — and BrandMittra would not exist without him. Krishna comes from a very similar world to mine: a middle-class family that understands the value of every rupee. He is originally from Rajasthan. His father works a private job and, for years, travelled from Delhi to Haryana for work — the kind of daily effort that quietly teaches a child what discipline really means. So both of us grew up watching our fathers work hard for a modest, honest living. That shared background is a big reason we understand each other so well.
In Krishna's own words: "My name is Krishna Aggarwal and I belong to Rajasthan. I passed my school final year in 2025, and then I chose to build my career in digital marketing. Alongside this, I am pursuing B.Com (Hons) from DU SOL. Right now I have good knowledge of Meta Ads, and I am strong in SEO."
We started talking — first about work, then about the industry, then about what we actually wanted from life. We come from the same kind of background, the same kind of struggles, and the same hunger to do something of our own. The conversations turned into a friendship, and the friendship turned into a partnership.
One thing I want to say clearly: we became friends before we became business partners. That order matters. When money is involved, you need someone you can argue with honestly and still work with the next morning. Two boys from middle-class families, both taught to respect hard work — that is the foundation BrandMittra is built on.

Six months in, we already wanted our own agency
About six months into our friendship, we both said the same thing out loud at almost the same time: we should build something of our own. We talked about it constantly. What would we offer? Who would we serve? How would we be different? The idea was there, the energy was there, but the timing was not.
Wanting and doing are two different things. We were still learning, still building confidence, still making small mistakes that we were lucky to make while someone else was paying the bills. So we parked the idea. Not because we gave up — because we were not ready, and we knew it.
Three years later, we could no longer wait
Fast forward roughly three years. I had finished my internship, one full year at the same company, and two more years of work in Delhi. Krishna had his own experience behind him. Somewhere in between, the feeling changed from we will do it one day to we have to do it now.
That shift is hard to describe. It is not one big moment. It is a slow realisation that if you keep waiting for the perfect time, you will be waiting forever. So we decided to take the step: build our own digital marketing agency, and build it AI-first from day one, because that is where marketing is actually going.
Why we called it BrandMittra
Naming an agency in India is harder than it looks, and the reason is one word: trust. A lot of business owners in India — especially first-time founders and small businesses — have been burnt before. They are careful. They do not hand over money or access to their accounts easily, and honestly, they should not.
So we wanted a name that solves that problem before the first conversation. It had to sound Indian, feel friendly, and not sound like every other generic agency name. We searched on Google, we asked AI tools like ChatGPT, we wrote long lists and rejected almost everything.
Then it clicked. The word Mittra comes from Mitra, which means friend in Hindi and Sanskrit. We were not trying to be a vendor — we were trying to be the friend a brand can actually rely on. Add Brand to it, and you get BrandMittra: your brand's friend. We looked at each other and knew this was the one. The name felt Indian, it felt warm, and most importantly, it felt trustworthy. Under it we wrote our promise in three words: GROW • BRAND • SCALE.
Today, when a business owner in Sonipat, Delhi, Punjab or anywhere else hears the name BrandMittra, we want them to feel one thing: these people are safe, and they will not cheat me.
What BrandMittra actually does today
BrandMittra is a full-service agency, which means we handle the complete growth picture instead of one small piece. Everything below is done in-house:
- • High-converting websites, business websites, landing pages, SaaS websites and e-commerce builds
- • AI-powered website design and mobile-first UX with speed optimization
- • SEO — technical, on-page, off-page, local SEO, AEO and GEO
- • Meta Ads and Google Ads with creative testing, funnels and conversion tracking
- • Video editing for reels, shorts, YouTube and ad creatives
- • UGC ads — scripts, hooks, creator-style ads and ad variations
- • AI marketing — research, content systems, creative workflows and reporting
- • Conversion rate optimization and digital marketing strategy
The point of offering everything is not to look big. It is that marketing only works properly when the pieces connect. A great ad sending traffic to a weak website wastes money. A beautiful website with no traffic is an expensive business card. When one team owns the whole path — website, content, search and paid media — everything improves together.
Why BrandMittra is AI-first — and why AI never replaces strategy
We did not add AI because it sounds modern. We added it because we used it ourselves and saw how much faster the work becomes. AI helps us research categories quickly, generate creative angles, build content systems, produce variations for testing, and turn messy performance data into something a human can actually decide on.
But here is our honest opinion: AI does not fix bad strategy. It only makes it faster. If the offer is weak, the website is unclear and the tracking is broken, AI will help you produce more of the same problem. So at BrandMittra, AI sits inside the workflow, while the important decisions — positioning, messaging, taste and what gets scaled — stay with humans. AI-powered marketing, human-centred strategy.
How we work with brands
We follow six steps. Nothing exotic, just a process that keeps the work honest and measurable:
- • Discover — we understand your brand, audience, competitors and growth goals
- • Strategize — we build a custom plan using data, psychology and AI-assisted research
- • Create — we build the website, content, UGC creatives and campaign assets
- • Launch — we go live with tracking in place so performance can be measured
- • Optimize — we read the data, test new ideas and improve what is not working
- • Scale — once something works, we put more resources behind it
What we will never do
This part is as important as anything above, because it explains why some sections of our website look different from other agencies.
- • We do not invent client testimonials, names or companies
- • We do not publish case studies with numbers we cannot document
- • We do not show fake ROAS, fake revenue or fake traffic screenshots
- • We do not use fake client logos or fake awards
- • We do not use fake urgency or scarcity to force a decision
- • We do not promise rankings or results that no honest agency can guarantee
If you open our website and a testimonial says CLIENT TESTIMONIAL WILL BE ADDED HERE, that is not laziness. That is us refusing to lie to you. Testimonials and case studies will be published the moment real clients are ready, and not before. We would rather earn your trust with honesty than win your enquiry with a nicely designed lie.
What AEO, GEO and E-E-A-T mean — and why they matter for your brand
These three terms are becoming the most important words in modern marketing, so let us break them down in simple English.
AEO — Answer Engine Optimization
AEO means writing and structuring your content so that a direct answer can be lifted from it. Instead of stuffing keywords, you answer the actual question a customer is asking — clearly, in the first two or three lines — and then explain it in detail. This helps Google, voice assistants and AI overviews pick your content as the answer. If your website never gives a clear answer, an answer engine has nothing to quote.
GEO — Generative Engine Optimization
GEO is about being mentionable by AI tools. More people now ask ChatGPT, Gemini or an AI overview before they search like a human. Those tools look for clear entities, consistent facts, structured data and pages that prove what a brand does. GEO work includes well-written service pages, consistent business details, schema markup, clear authorship and authoritative content that other sources can reference confidently.
E-E-A-T — Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness
E-E-A-T is Google's quality framework. In simple words, search engines try to understand whether the person and the business behind a page have real experience, genuine expertise, authority in their space and trust signals. That is why this blog exists. That is why this page has a real author with a real background, a real location and a real story. That is also why we show actual client websites on our Work page instead of generic mockups.

Here is the practical takeaway for any business owner reading this: stop writing content for a keyword. Start answering the question your customer is really asking, put a real person behind the content, keep your facts consistent everywhere, and make it easy for both people and AI tools to understand what you do. That is AEO, GEO and E-E-A-T working together.
Who we work with
We work with ambitious startups, small and medium businesses, and established brands that want more than likes and impressions. Some come to us for a single high-converting website. Some come for SEO. Some want the full system — website, content, SEO and paid ads running together. And some come just to ask honestly: what is holding my brand back? That question is allowed, and it is usually where the best work starts.
A few years ago I was a student in a village near Sonipat who did not know what SEO meant. Today, along with Krishna, I help brands build, launch, market and scale. That journey is why we take this work personally, and it is also why we refuse to sell shortcuts that do not exist.
What is next for BrandMittra
We are not trying to become the biggest agency in India. We are trying to become the one brands actually trust. That means doing fewer things at a higher standard, documenting our work properly, and publishing real case studies as projects mature instead of inflating them early.
If you are building something and you want a partner who will tell you the truth about your website, your content and your ads — even when the truth is uncomfortable — we would like to talk. Start with a free growth audit or a strategy call. No pressure tactics, no fake deadlines. Just an honest look at what is working, what is not, and what should happen next.
